Dalton was thoroughly enjoying these first few bites of his sandwich, and then Mommy noticed him rubbing his eyes, nose, mouth, ears . . . .AFTER
By the time I thought about taking a picture, his face had already gone down, but most of the reaction was in his face. He got to ride in the ambulance which he loved sitting up in the ambulance's "carseat" like a big boy! Mommy didn't like it quite as much, that was my first ambulance ride too. When we got in the ambulance his face was so swollen he was unrecognizable, his eyeballs were swollen and bulging out of his sockets, and he was a nice shade of grey. Praise God he did not have a respiratory reaction! So his throat did not close and he had no trouble breathing at all! Whew. Luckily, Daddy and Mommy were both with him when it happened. He was much calmer than we were....until the 2 unsuccessful IV attempts and then the 2 shots!!! . . . .

We will see the Pediatric Allergy Specialist on Nov. 16th to find out exactly what he is allergic to. It may be peanuts only, or anything containing nuts, or cooked in peanut oil. We have no idea, so in the meantime, adding new table foods is off limits!

Poor baby! Sorry to you all you had to go through that. At least now you know and can make more precautions from here on out.....
