fIvE mOnThS oLd AlReAdY!

D a l t o n
is
5
months
old!!!

He is really changing every day into such a little boy.
Right now he weighs 14 lbs 11 ounces
and is 25 1/2 inches tall.
He is rolling over both ways (when he feels like it).
Smiling and laughing at Mommy and Daddy.
Sucking on his toes!
Eating cereal bottles, bananas, and sweet potatoes!
He doesn't really like sweet peas. :)
(More GREAT pictures of his first feedings coming soon)
Really recognizing those he sees often
and gets so excited for them, kicking and flailing his arms.
He is a true "wiggle-worm" by definition! Ask anyone who has held him!
Based on that, he will be running before he's crawling. Haha.
He loves his johnny-jump-up and exersaucer,
and watching Mickey Mouse's Playhouse, Handy Manny, and Wonder Pets!
And Mommy does too!

That's all for now, but things are changing quickly. I'll try to get better at updating!

Tuesday

My Little Brother is . . .

NINE!!!

It seems like only yesterday, that I was:
  • Watching him come into this world!
  • Changing his diapers.
  • Kissing his chubby cheeks.
  • Playing with his leg rolls!
  • Waiting for him to smile, laugh, crawl, walk.
  • Watching Bear in the Big Blue House and Bob the Builder with him.
  • Baby-sitting him with my boyfriend!
  • Showing him off to EVERYONE.
  • Wishing that he was my baby.
and now . . . I have a baby of my own!

Happy Birthday, to the best brother and uncle!

Sunday

Easter Pictures!

Happy Easter,

Love, D

Here are a few of the gazillion pictures from Easter!

Clearly D had a great Easter, but we can't wait until next year when he can join in the fun!

Wednesday

D's First Vacation

We went to our condo in the North Ga mountains in Clarkesville, GA for a few days during Todd's spring break. It was VERY nice to get away. Mimi and Uncle Blake came up too. It was sooo cold and we even had snow flurries, so we didn't get to do much except for stay in, eat, and play games! D did great . . . he didn't act like he cared that we were away from home. This was a fun mini-vacation but I am SOOO looking forward to summer and going other places!

Saturday

Opening Day

Opening day at Salem ball fields brought out many new fans for this season!

Blake and Sydney tore up the field!

(She's such a girl, getting her hair fixed between innings!)
Sasha played too, in the wee hours of the morning! D couldn't make it for that one!

Thursday

4 month photo shoot

After an hour of photo shoot heck at JCPenneys, we didn't come away with the best pictures for D's 4 month pics. Soooo, I decided to do my own when we got home. He was much more comfortable at home, of course! Here's what I got:

Ahh, success!

Wednesday

The "Real" Paynes

At last . . .

For those of you who knew about my quest to find an exersaucer at a consignment sale... HERE is the lucky winner that won a spot at the House of Payne! Finally, after 3 consignment sales, I found this one at the Southern Crescent Parents of Multiples sale. It is perfect. These pictures are when I first got it, D was a little wobbly, but NOW he loves it!!! And the great thing about it is that when he grows out of it, the top comes off and you hook it beside the bottom of the saucer and it becomes a figure-8 track for the farm tractor. PERFECT!
