This was a big hit with both my guys, and if the toddler approves, it must be good! Borrowed from the "For mamas. By a Mama." blog She has more detailed pics of each step. I'm not that good yet!
1 bag of Egg Noodles (the big bag)
1 extra large jar of spaghetti sauce (the plastic 20oz jar, if it’s Ragu)
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (more or less, it’s yours to decide)
1 1/2 lbs hamburger meat
1 package pepperonis (I used the turkey ones, which may be why they look more crispy than greasy, which I’m totally fine with)
Preheat at 350*
Brown all ground beef, drain.
Boil noodles using directions on bag, drain.
Use 9X13 pan and layer as follows:
1~Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom (just enough to cover glass completely)
2~half of the noodles
3~half of the meat
4~half of the rest of the sauce
5~rest of the noodles
6~half the cheese
7~rest of the meat
8~rest of the sauce
9~rest of the cheese
10~pepperonis (don’t use the whole package, just enough to cover evenly)
Cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes
After 30 minutes, remove the foil & bake for another 15 minutes.
**Take it out and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes. (This allows everything to settle together, IF you can wait)
Dig in and ENJOY!
