Semi-homemade Cinnamon Rolls

I LOVE making stuff, but sometimes it being "semi-homemade" makes it so much more appealing to attempt! Here's what I made tonight. I had a roll of Pillsbury refrigerated pizza crust left over, after making these pizza rolls. They turned out so good I decided to play around with making cinnamon rolls since my boys were asking . . . "What's for dessert?" This is what I came up with and they were mmm mmm good!

In my opinion, much better than storebought canned cinnamon rolls. Semi-homemade proved to be easy and yummy!

Here's what you will need:

1 can Pillsbury pizza crust

flour

wax paper

2 tbsp softened margarine or butter

1/2 cup sugar

2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven at 425*

Lay out wax paper on countertop (about the size of a 9x13 pan), spread thin amount of flour on surface.

Unroll dough on top of flour.

Use a butter knife to carefully spread softened butter/margarine over entire dough.

Mix all sugar and cinnamon in small bowl.

Sprinkle the sugar/cinnamon, covering the whole piece of dough.

Roll the dough tightly, starting at the shorter end of the rectangle, pinching the 2 ends as you go.

(I pinched the ends and the sugar mixture still spilled out of the ends. It's okay, just lick it up!)

Stretch the rolled dough to make the roll even

Use a sharp knife (I used serrated) to slice the roll into 1-1 1/2in. pieces.

Place on greased cookie sheet, about 1in apart.

Cook for 10-12 minutes.

While those are cooking, mix your glaze. You'll need to combine the following:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

1/2 tsp vanilla

If your glaze it too thick, add a little more milk.

When the cinnamon rolls are done baking, drizzle the glaze on top while they are still hot!

I dare you to NOT eat them all! (Makes about 8-10 depending on how thick you slice them)

Garlic-Brown Sugar Chicken (Crockpot)

3-4 large chicken breasts (I put them in frozen)

1 cup packed brown sugar

2/3 cup vinegar

1/4 cup Sprite or 7-Up soda (I've always omitted this, and it's still been a-maz-ing!)

2-3 tablespoons minced garlic

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon pepper (I use black, but you can use cayenne to kick it up)

~ Place chicken in crock pot and pour everything else on top.

~ Cook on low for 6-8 hours and just sit back and enjoy the incredible smell that fills your house!

~ Serve over rice. Enjoy!

Pizza Casserole

This was a big hit with both my guys, and if the toddler approves, it must be good! Borrowed from the "For mamas. By a Mama." blog She has more detailed pics of each step. I'm not that good yet!

PIZZA CASSEROLE

Ingredients:

1 bag of Egg Noodles (the big bag)

1 extra large jar of spaghetti sauce (the plastic 20ozjar, if it’s Ragu)

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (more or less, it’syours to decide)

1 1/2 lbs hamburger meat

1 package pepperonis (I used the turkey ones, whichmay be why they look more crispy than greasy, which I’m totally fine with)

Directions:

Preheat at 350*

Brown all ground beef, drain.

Boil noodles using directions on bag, drain.

Use 9X13 pan and layer as follows:

1~Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom(just enough to cover glass completely)

2~half of the noodles

3~half of the meat

4~half of the rest of the sauce

5~rest of the noodles

6~half the cheese

7~rest of the meat

8~rest of the sauce

9~rest of the cheese

10~pepperonis (don’t use the whole package, just enoughto cover evenly)

Cover with foil, and bake for30 minutes

After 30 minutes, remove the foil & bake foranother 15 minutes.

**Take it out and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes. (Thisallows everything to settle together, IF youcan wait)

Dig in and ENJOY!

Dalton's Thomas the Train Party

Here's Dalton's 3rd Birthday

There was no question that it would be train themed.

I bought some Thomas themed stuff and then got a little creative for everything else.

I found clip art of both of these railroad crossing signs and printed on Avery sticker paper, ran through the printer, cut them out and voila! I bought lollipop sticks at Michaels and placed the signs on the sticks (sticky sign on front, and plain paper on back, to make them stick).

I bought a few centerpieces that matched the Thomas theme, but for the round tables, I used pieces of the wooden track to create railway scenes and attached balloons. This was a big hit with the kids b/c they could play at the tables.

This was the favor table. I bought the bags and whistles to match, but made my own snack favors.

These were Hostess brand HoHos. Again, I created this image using Microsoft Word and then printed on sticker paper and placed on the HoHo package. Super simple!

These two are a trip! Even though they don't see each other often, Koletyn loves Daltma. But what's funny is when Daltma isn't around to defend himself, Koletyn says "Daltma did it!" Haha!

His Other Love (Orando, The End)

While we were at the resort, we noticed helicopters flying over really low, and each time Dalton would start yelling something.
We finally interpreted "Harold".
For non-Thomas the Train addicts, Harold is the helicopter on the show.
Go figure, this kid would be able to say "Harold" when he can't even say simple stuff!
Anyway, we found the source for the low-flying helicopters . . . a helitour place nearby.
There was a couple there thinking about flying. The woman was chickening out, but thanks to my son's pitiful face and ravashing good looks, she opted for the ride!!! (In my mind, I'm thinking, if they crash I'm gonna feel really bad!)
Dalton got to experience a Harold taking off! It was loud and super windy, but HE LOVED IT!
I don't think his love for helicopters will replace his love for trains, but he sure does love some Harolds!

Truly is the HAPPIEST!

We spent one day at Magic Kingdom and Dalton was in heaven.
Some of the pictures may not look like it,
but he LOVED the characters once he warmed up and he couldn't get enough of the rides!
I can't believe I was worried there was nothing for him to do! We did a lot!

(If this isn't the sweetest! After a few rides, Dalton kept hugging on us, as if to tell us Thanks for bringing me here!)

Best idea ever: Going back to the resort for a nap in the middle of the day! It allowed us to come back and stay to see the beautiful parade and fireworks!

SeaWorld (Orlando Part 3)

Spent 1/2 day at SeaWorld and this was plenty of time. You'll see why later. Read Lesson 251. We really had fun though!

First "character" experience. Dalton did so good!

Dalton gave the dolphins a "thumbs-up"! He loved seeing them underwater.

Lesson 251: No matter how much juice/snacks/bribery you use, a toddler will only sit still to watch large aquatic mammals jump out of the water for so long. :( This was our one and only show. You can see. He was miserable.
Flailing/running+metal bleachers=panic attack for mommy.

We much more enjoyed walking around, looking at exhibits, and riding rides.

After the first ride, there was no stopping him!
Where was mommy, you may ask? Well mommy doesn't do rides that go in circles, i.e. EVERY kiddie ride.
He was ecstatic about seeing the penguins. He thought they were Mumble from Happy Feet!

We wanted to stay at a resort that would have plenty for us to do when
we weren't at the theme parks.
And, boy, did we find one!

He called them every time we went outside and here he is petting a yizerd.

The playground was supercool and shaded, right outside our room!

90 yrs Apart

Is He Really Sick?

We've all had the nasty crud around here lately, and Dalton didn't seem to be getting better, so I took him to the doc. Sure he seems fine, but the colors I've seen from his nose (TMI) have told me otherwise. Here he is, not very convincing to the doc. (She said he just needs to use his nebulizer until he clears up. We'll get to that in a minute.)

I let him take his own thermometer. We've been practicing at home, b/c sadly enough, the taking of the temp at the beginning of every doc visit is a disaster! So anyway, we've been taking it at home to let him know, it's not gonna kill him. Soooo he took his toy thermometer to show the nurse how it's done. Of course, they all thought it was adorable. Mommy was just glad all the practicing has prepared him. No meltdown.

I just got out my camera to snap the pics of him sitting so sweetly, and I guess he thought he heard me say "Smile" b/c that's what he did! Ever seen a red-headed Asian?

Again, he won't wear his own Sesame Street glasses, but he'll insist on wearing mine! A mind of his own.

About the nebulizer:
Any other moms use Albuterol nebulizers on their little ones?
I don't think it's just me, but it makes him act like he's on drugs! Running and yelling and rolling around on the floor. No NAPS!
But I guess it's the price I'll pay to clear up his sickness.

D has the best grandparents! They are so much fun! And thanks to uncle Blake, they have the best toys too!!!
Dalton is so into Thomas right now, he really loved Mimi for putting together Blake's old train table! (He loved it so much that it came home with us. And it's the last thing he does before bed and first thing he does when he wakes up!)

It started out just like any other playdate, until Dalton spotted his 1st bday shirt in a box . . .
he insisted to wear it (and started acting so silly)!
Then Mommy found some bday hats and the boys wanted to wear them.
So we decided to just have a party . . . Celebrating these sweet boys and their silliness!
NaNa helped them boogie down!

It's so fun to get down to their level and act just as crazy as them. I think it does me good to let loose!
And by the way, it's so funny how 1 yr olds (especially mine) will only do stuff when you don't need them to. He would NOT wear a hat on his birthday, nor anyone elses, but of course, since he didn't have to, he did! That's just how it goes!

Finally, I decided to not be selfish anymore and to get over my fears . . .
Mommy let go of the curls and Dalton proved my assumptions wrong . . . he did great!!!
Dalton sat in Grampaw's lap and watched Thomas while Ms. Christy cut his super long hair.
He did fantastic, which is such an improvement from the last time.
(Embarrassingly enough, that was in March)
And look at him, mommy's sweet boy is growing up so much.

I told him to show me his teeth, and that's exactly what he did. Look at those chompers, the reason for many sleepless nights in the House of Payne!

Things don't always go the way you plan. (The lesson from our beach trip)

To celebrate Todd being out of school, we went to Daytona to play in the sand and take in the sun and sights!
Well . . . . I had 2 ER visits (high fever, vomiting, all of the above) during the trip and spend almost the entire trip in bed. So Mimi and uncle Blake came to the rescue to help make sure Dalton had a good trip and I got better!
All in all, it was a great trip and I managed to snap a ton of pics on the days I was out and about.

Cupcakes for a Little MONKEY!

I saw these little monkey cupcakes in a parenting mag a while ago and knew Aunt Autumn had to create them for lil' Nolan's monkey-themed 1st bday party!
I'll go through what I did, and then tell you what I learned! I improvised a lot and there are still things I would change.

What you'll need:
Mini oreos
Icing of your choice--if it's homemade, then you are better than me (ERICA), canned worked fine for ME
Ginger Snaps (I used the Nabisco ones and I think the size worked best)
Cake mix (Recipe called for banana bread mix)
White icing in squeeze tube

Separate mini Oreos, remove and eat centers! These will be your monkey ears.

Grab your sharp knife and the ginger snaps, and cut into those suckers! They are VERY hard so I found that cutting all the way through only crumbled the cookies and made for some crooked lines (which doesn't work if you're OCD like me) . . . so it works best to make a perforation, like 1/4 way into the cookie, then break. You can tidy up the lines with your knife. :)
These are your monkey mouths/noses.
Then I used chocolate icing in a snipped baggie to add the nostrils (The actual recipe called for mini semi-sweets, but I can't find those that are peanut-free!)

Cook those cupcakes according to the box. Or if you are bored, according to your homemade recipe! Let 'em cool.

Add your icing. Then add the bottom of the monkey mouth.

Here's where it gets tricky... Add the top of the mouth/nose but don't push too far into icing, cause next you're gonna add the Oreo ears under the edge. (I tried adding the ears and then the top mouth, but somehow the mouth didn't wanna stick good enough, so this worked best for me)

Add those ears!

Squeeze a little bit of white icing and then add the eyes. I used little pieces of broken Oreos, but it called for m&m's. Again, not peanut-allergy friendly.

There you have it!!!

Here you have it. I also made confetti cupcakes with turquoise icing and banana Runts on the top b/c they matched the decor! Those aren't quite as difficult.

So here's the scoop:
I made them the day before, trying to be time efficient.
***The cookies absorbed the moisture from the cupcakes.***
In the case of the Oreos, this was not a good thing. When I took them out at the party, the ears started falling off and crumbling. :(
If you know ginger snaps, you know how HARD they are. So this actually was great for them. The kids didn't have to remove the ginger snaps in order to bite into the cupcake, with them so soft, you could just bite into everything!!

15 Month Check-Up!

15 Months Old!

Dalton had his check-up on Tuesday. It was D-Day as far as his ears are concerned. (Dalton had 4 ear infections in 6 months. Dr. Chin told us 3 wks ago that if his ears weren't clear of fluid and yuckiness at this check-up, then she would be referring us to an ENT for tubes. Meanwhile, Dalton has been taking Allegra & Nasonex spray every day, in hopes of clearing up his little allergy prone nose. And therefore, clearing up the fluid on his ears.) So, I'm saying all this to say, HIS EARS WERE CLEAR! He hadn't had a runny nose in 3 wks. Praise God, these meds really worked! Looks like he's just gonna be allergy-prone.
Side note: Apparently I have a strong 15 mo. old, just ask the 3 people that held him down just for looking in his ears. :( What can I say? He hates it!!!

In Dalton's little lifetime he's been too little to go out for his first snow and sick for the last one. So this beautiful, thick snow was amazing and oh, so much fun for Dalton!

Sharing, Playing, and "Business"

I'm trying to get my little guy to play with others more, so that he can get used to sharing and being around other little ones. It was the perfect opportunity for playtime when Mandy asked me to watch little Nolan!
Dalton needs alone time sometimes, especially to do his morning "business" if you know what I mean. Only one problem, everywhere he went, somebody else was right behind him. He may not be walking yet, but little Nolan can certainly crawl like a champ to keep up. Needless to say, Dalton waited until Nolan left to do his "business". I didn't think they started this so soon!

Hamburger/Tater tot/Veggie Casserole--EASY!

This is the easiest thing ever. And if your man is a meat & potatoes kind of guy, he'll LOVE it!

1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can Veg-all mixed veggies
1 lb ground beef, browned
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Tater tots (1/2 large bag)
You can double all of this for a 9x13. That's what I did. And we'll have it for a few days!

After ground beef is browned and drained, place in bottom of a 8x8 glass casserole dish. (No need to grease or spray)
Drain can of Veg-all and pour over ground beef. Spread evenly.
Pour cream of chicken soup over veggies. Spread evenly.
Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over soup.
Arrange tater tots on top of cheese.
Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.

Heaven is rejoicing.
Rich and Ashley's sweet boy, Hodges, entered the gates of Heaven this morning. Pray for this family as they are grieving over something I cannot even imagine. Also, pray a special prayer for Kensington that her little heart will be comforted by God, after losing her second little brother. Again, I cannot imagine.
Our children are only ours for a season, in this case almost 15 months. They truly belong to our Heavenly Father. We do not know how long this season will be. Hug your loved ones!

Gettin' All Domestic (Recipe)

I like to swap recipes . . . you know, when I do actually cook! But I've borrowed a few from others lately, and I wanted to share this one that I found myself. I am trying to do better and cook more and go out less! That will be best for our waste line and our checkbook!

This recipe was a hit with my boys! They both kept asking for more! I didn't have all the exact ingredients so I improvised and it was still great. I will note the things that I improvised!

Chicken Alfredo

1/2 of a 16 ounce package linguine (I used a 14 ounce of whole wheat penne)

1 cup fresh or frozen broccoli florets (I used frozen)

2 tablespoons butter

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces (I used the individually frozen "Great Value" chicken breasts in the bag)

1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (Regular, 98% Fat Free or Healthy Request®)

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Prepare the linguine according to the package directions in a 3-quart saucepan. Add the broccoli during the last 4 minutes of the cooking time. Drain the linguine mixture well in a colander.
Heat the butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until well browned and cooked through, stirring often.
Stir the soup, milk, cheese, black pepper and linguine mixture in the skillet and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling, stirring occasionally. Serve with additional Parmesan cheese.

We had the frozen cheese-filled garlic breadsticks and salad.

Just for a quick update.

Dalton is walking like crazy. He started walking a little bit as soon as he turned 13 months, but now at 14 months, he only walks . . . all the time! No crawling for this boy. He figured out that he can also run, which sort of looks like godzilla walking really fast, and get places much quicker. (Like when he hears someone in the snack cabinet or fridge, or his bathwater running, or the voice of someone he LOVES) It's so cute.

Started going to a new pediatrician. Thanks to Erica! I loved Dr. Chen and I think Dalton did too, after he realized he wasn't there for shots! She was great with him and great with me too. Answered all my questions and was very pleasant, and get this, she actually listened. Something I'm not used to with Dalton's old docs. So that went great, and she said Dalton's ear infection was clearing up nicely. Will follow up for a 15 month check up.

Also, I feel like nobody reads this sometimes and maybe nobody cares if I'm behind on my postings or not. So please, if you read this, COMMENT so that I will know I'm not just writing for nothing. :) Sometimes I think that is the case. To the maybe 2 people that do comment, thank you. I do this for ya'll! It only takes a sec to comment, and if you don't, then I don't know you're reading this. I need encouragement to continue. I do enjoy it!

Here's my sweet angel at Dr. Silk's office! I was very pleased with Dr. Silk at both of Dalton's appointments. This was the appt where he received the skin testing. You can see quite a big red bump in a few spots. Those were obviously the nuts. Praise God he didn't react to anything else! Whew! So, now we just follow up in 1 year from now. In the meantime we are steering clear from any nuts or foods manufactured with nuts! This is difficult!

Dalton was thoroughly enjoying these first few bites of his sandwich, and then Mommy noticed him rubbing his eyes, nose, mouth, ears . . . .

AFTER
By the time I thought about taking a picture, his face had already gone down, but most of the reaction was in his face. He got to ride in the ambulance which he loved sitting up in the ambulance's "carseat" like a big boy! Mommy didn't like it quite as much, that was my first ambulance ride too. When we got in the ambulance his face was so swollen he was unrecognizable, his eyeballs were swollen and bulging out of his sockets, and he was a nice shade of grey. Praise God he did not have a respiratory reaction! So his throat did not close and he had no trouble breathing at all! Whew. Luckily, Daddy and Mommy were both with him when it happened. He was much calmer than we were....until the 2 unsuccessful IV attempts and then the 2 shots!!! . . . .

We will see the Pediatric Allergy Specialist on Nov. 16th to find out exactly what he is allergic to. It may be peanuts only, or anything containing nuts, or cooked in peanut oil. We have no idea, so in the meantime, adding new table foods is off limits!

As stated by my cousin, Nanny is the oldest person we know!
We are blessed that the Lord has kept her around for all these 91 years. He is working through her...there is not a person I know that doesn't love her. She is the most faithful Christian woman that I know and I appreciate all she has taught me about the Lord! I can only hope that I touch as many people in my lifetime as she has in hers.

It occurred to me this week that my baby is looking more like a little boy! I dressed him for the cooler weather and it was like he transformed before my eyes into a little man!!!

Prayer for the Manross family

The Lord has laid it on my heart to ask for prayer for a sweet, sweet family. I have asked you to pray for them before.
The Manross family has a precious son, Hodges, who is about the same age as Dalton. When I fret over bumped heads and runny noses, I often think of Hodges' mommy, Ashley. I cannot imagine the daily struggles she faces. I get a glimpse of her world through her blog, and I am amazed at her amazing faith! She and Rich are wonderful parents to their children, the ones here with them and the one in heaven. I want to ask all of you to pray for the family for strength and courage to face the next day. After reading what all they go through on a daily basis, even when they are at home, I realize how much we have to be thankful for.
God has a purpose for Hodges and I pray He keeps him here with his parents for a long time!

We've had this pool for half of summer, but we were waiting on it to cool off . . . haha! That hasn't happened, so we decided to go ahead. He loves it just like his bathtub! He kept trying to pull up (his newest accomplishment) on the pool and didn't understand why it kept collapsing!

Crockpot Lasagna

Here's an easy and VERY delicious recipe that I wanted to share!
You know if I did it, it's easy!

Crockpot Lasagna

1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 medium onion, choppped
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (approx. 26oz)
12 oz container of cottage cheese
1 egg
12 oz lasagna noodles (uncooked)
12 oz shredded mozzarella cheese (reserve 1/2 cup)

Directions:
Brown meat and onion in skillet. Drain off fat. Add jar of spaghetti sauce and simmer for 5-10 mins (if the sauce is too thick, you may want to add about 1/2 cup water to thin it). In separate bowl, combine all the cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese (except reserved 1/2 cup) and the egg. Mix thoroughly. Spoon a layer of meat sauce onto the bottom of the crockpot. Add *two* layers of uncooked lasagna noodles (broken into small pieces to make them fit) and then top with cheese mixture. Repeat with sauce, noodles, and cheese mixture until all are used. Sprinkle reserved 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella on very top. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for approx. 3 hours.
Serves 6-8.

On Friday the 31st, I was in the kitchen fixing some lunch and D was in the livingroom. He started fretting and whining because he couldn't see me (spoiled much?) and it quickly escalated to yelling "Maaamuuuh"! So there you have it, D's first word. I didn't post before because I wasn't sure it counted. So I've tested the theory the past few days (not by leaving the room and making him cry, wink wink), and it's official he's said it a lot of times over the past few days. How sweet . . . our baby is growing up! TOO FAST!

If you know me, you know that mommyhood has made me an avid bargain shopper. This being said, I love me some consignment sales. Now I am no expert on these sales, yet! But I would say I was pretty pleased with my finds. I'll share a few upcoming sales with you and hope that you have as good of luck as I've had in the past. And here they are with some pros and cons.

Southern Crescent Parents of Multiples' Second Time Around Sale:
I have gone to the SCPM sale twice and you'll remember I found the exersaucer that D still LOVES in the spring sale. Other than this find, I wasn't as pleased with this spring sale as I was with the one last year. They do have a lot of new clothes (Carter's, etc) with tags on them. Also, this sale should have some holiday outfits and Halloween costumes. The toys were clean and they did have a lot of them. Downside: if you don't have multiples, a lot of the strollers, etc. are made for doubles.
My finds: exersaucer ($40), Eddie Bauer booster seat--high-back ($20), LeapFrog play table ($12), clothes, baby Bjorn carrier ($10...yes $10)

The Kids Stuff Sale:
This is a new sale for me. Someone at church told Mom about this one in the spring. Upside: TONS of clothes. Downside: Cramped in someone's basement and some of the clothes were stained and outdated. Not a lot of babygear (playards, carseats, etc).
Just got an invite for this year. ***New: Henry Co. Board of Ed employees get to shop early if they bring their employee IDs. Therefore, I will be taking my Mom or Todd with me! :) If you don't know any, you better befriend one quick. Only a few wks before this sale.

Kellytown Kids:
I would say this is my favorite. Or rather has the most things I've needed. I've gone to 3 or 4 KK sales. Upside: New location with more space. Tons of clothes (namebrand) with good quality. A lot of babygear. Downside: You've already missed the summer sale. I'll update later when a date is known for the fall sale. (Sorry!)
My finds: umbrella stroller ($4), pentagon-shaped crawlthru toy with mailbox, windows, etc ($7), FisherPrice lion ride/push toy ($7), packnplay ($20), various Fisher Price toys, TONS of clothes.... at the July sale I got 20 clothing items and a few toys and shoes for $60! Not too shabby!

After receiving some monetary gifts for my birthday, I put them together and added a little..... and we are now the proud owners of a LAPTOP! Yes, I am just now owning a laptop. We have had the same desktop since before we got married, that's 6 1/2 yrs!!! It was ancient and VERY slow. We had enough with it crashing and creeping along, so with the great deals they have right now, we decided to give in and do what was long overdue!

That being said.... expect lots of updates and pictures! I have no excuse now, so please harass me if I don't follow through.

I don't think I could possibly back-post the 500+ pics (I did add them to facebook, for all of you facebookers) so I will vow to do better starting from now. I've picked a few of my favorites from the past few months to add here. (Slideshow to come)

Dalton is growing so fast... already 8 months! And I can't believe it!
He's sitting up so good~ babies have such good posture!
He will stand holding to the sofa, but doesn't pull up to get there yet.
He eats anything we put in front of him, which includes just about any jar baby foods. He loves the fruit mixtures!
Although, he is still not a fan of sweet peas and we just discovered "chicken & veggies" is the nastiest puree ever!
He knows how to crawl, but chooses not to. He will turn a complete 360 using his hands and knees, but will go no further. So I know the skill is there, but he's in no hurry! He needs to perfect it b/c he still uses his face to scoot on! Apparently someone showed D this video when teaching him to crawl. That's what Dalton does to reach a toy-- left then right, left then right! Sooooo stubborn, but determined!
He also dances like he knows exactly what he's doing! It's quite entertaining!

and is 25 1/2 inches tall.
He is rolling over both ways (when he feels like it).
Smiling and laughing at Mommy and Daddy.

Eating cereal bottles, bananas, and sweet potatoes!
He doesn't really like sweet peas. :)

We went to our condo in the North Ga mountains in Clarkesville, GA for a few days during Todd's spring break. It was VERY nice to get away. Mimi and Uncle Blake came up too. It was sooo cold and we even had snow flurries, so we didn't get to do much except for stay in, eat, and play games! D did great . . . he didn't act like he cared that we were away from home.This was a fun mini-vacation but I am SOOO looking forward to summer and going other places!
